The dots were manipulated because they were not visible in the picture, but everything else is real.

Wow you are amazing! :wow: :D This is really really awesome, definitely one of the best Avatar--if not all--cosplays that I have seen! Do you mind if I ask some questions? :)

My university has a big halloween dance every year and this year I am out to win the costume contest by being a Na'vi (my own design or possibly Neytiri). What kind of make-up did you use? I've experimented with cheap face paint and it has worked well, but for a long span of time I am worried about chipping or smearing. Also, is that your real hair? Did you braid it yourself? And I can't tell but do you have the big antenna braid in back? :)

Thanks so much! And wonderful job once again! :D

Thank you!
Well, there are allot of ways to do this, and unfortunately I did not choose the best way nor the fastest. It took 4 hours to apply everything and in the end it was rushed and a bit sloppy. If you want to go all the way with a full body makeup then i strongly suggest that you purchase an airbrush (not the small ones for makeup but a larger one for furniture)
My remake will be done with a car airbrush to cut down the process time and paint me faster. You can also use clown makeup and apply it all by hand but this takes forever and you also have to seal the makeup with powder.
You can use BenNye or Mehron clown makeup for this (make sure that its creme, not liquid) Buy at least 8oz of white as a base and 8oz of standard blue to mix in, this should cover your whole body and stripes. Seal the makeup with either BenNye powder cakes OR you can use baby powder mixed with eyeshadow.
BUT, you can also get a body suit and hand paint it, this is the fast and durable way.
For the hair, you can use a wig but I got my real hair braided and I had a 4ft long extension for the long braid tied to the back of my head with a rubber band.
Whew sorry for writing so much

I'm thinking about the clown makeup since it's easy to get around Halloween anyway. Or the body suit that way I only have to paint it once! :) Thank you so much for all your tips, taking the time to write it all! I think it's awesome you got your real hair braided! And your cosplays are so cool!
